The AELOUS SSL features a 20° flare angle, giving you a narrow, aerodynamic position in the hoods and a dramatically wider, more stable grip in the drops. This dual-position geometry lets you slice through headwinds on tarmac and hold your line with confidence on loose gravel — all from the same bar.

with Nano-Resin Reinforcement

The AELOUS SSL is made with True Monocoque Technology, using a premium hybrid layup of Toray T1100 tensile carbon and M65 ultra-high-modulus fiber, bonded with nano-resin throughout the laminate. The result is a handlebar that resists fatigue under sustained off-road loads while remaining well under 300g — a benchmark no traditional two-piece cockpit can match.

Design with Full Internal Routing

Like the ZEPHYR SSL, the AELOUS is molded as a single seamless unit — no stem-to-bar joint, no exposed housing, no flex points. It is fully internal cable routing compatible and uses One-Piece Molding Technology, keeping your build clean, aerodynamic, and drag-free from bar end to head tube.

How to choose your size:
For gravel and mixed-terrain riding, bar width is typically chosen at or 1–2cm wider than your shoulder (bi-acromial) measurement — giving you the extra leverage and stability that off-road riding demands compared to a pure road setup. The 20° flare means your hoods will be narrower than your drops; factor this into your fit before ordering. Because this is a one-piece integrated bar, stem length cannot be changed after purchase.

The AELOUS SSL is Quick Pro's dedicated wide-angle integrated handlebar — purpose-built for gravel racing, mixed-terrain riding, and any discipline where control at speed is non-negotiable. The AELOUS shares virtually the same DNA as the ZEPHYR SSL, built with the same True Monocoque Technology and tipping the scales at a near-identical 288g — with one critical difference: Drop Flare.

The AELOUS delivers a generous 6cm of total flare (3cm wider on each side), creating a narrower, aero hood position for fast open sections of the course while opening up significantly at the drops for maximum control during technical sections and sprinting.

Built from the same hybrid Toray T1100 and M65 carbon fiber layup as Quick Pro's ONE-series frames, and reinforced with nano-resin technology, the AELOUS SSL brings flagship cockpit performance to riders who demand more than a road bar can offer — without sacrificing a gram of ambition.

What's the difference between the AELOUS SSL and the ZEPHYR SSL?

Both handlebars share the same monocoque construction, carbon layup, and near-identical weight — the only meaningful difference is the drop flare. The ZEPHYR SSL has a minimal 6.1° road flare for a traditional, aero road position. The AELOUS SSL features a 20° wide-angle flare designed for gravel and mixed-terrain control — giving you a narrow hood position and a wide, stable drop position in one bar.
Can I use this as a road handlebar?

Technically yes, but it's designed for gravel. The 20° flare gives you a noticeably wider drop than a standard road bar. Riders who prefer a more traditional road feel should look at the ZEPHYR SSL instead. That said, many endurance and all-road riders actively prefer the wider drop for added stability and comfort on long days in the saddle.
What bike computer mounts are compatible?

The integrated mount uses a nearly straight angle (approximately 1°). Standard 2-bolt Garmin and Wahoo mounts fit directly. For larger computers like the Garmin 1050, confirm clearance before ordering — or contact us and we'll check for your specific unit. Aftermarket 3D-printed titanium mounts are also widely available for a premium finish.
Is the AELOUS SSL UCI approved?

Yes, it meets UCI regulations and is suitable for use in sanctioned gravel and road racing events.
